I have a Lapinator that I use at home (which I love) but it doesn't fit in my bag for travel. Since I'm about to be travelling a good bit, I wanted something that would fit in my bag with my laptop. This fits the bill perfectly! It's slim and small enough to fit in my bag, but just large enough for my 17 inch laptop. Very happy with my purchase.

Love this lap desk. Makes working my on iPad much more comfortable. Frees up both hands so I can type on it using both hands at a time.

Update - I saw an article this week (10/04/2010) from the AP stating that skin damage is possible if you do not use a lap desk or some sort of protection when using a laptop computer...

I needed a laptop pad that wasn't stuffed like an overgrown pillow....this product fits the bill...slim and easy to travel with and keeps the heat off my lap without having to deal with a big bulky item.
